Member-stockholders of 1st Farm
Credit Services, Normal, in mail balloting following the
agricultural credit and financial services organization's
annual meeting have re-elected three fellow
member-stockholders as directors, as well as electing a new
member to the board. The board of directors serves as the
policy-making body for the farmer-owned cooperative.
Re-elected to serve four-year terms
on the 1st Farm Credit Services, ACA board are Rod McGaughey,
Carthage; Roger Schrodt, Galesburg; and Craig Stewart,
Yorkville. Elected to serve a four-year term is Michael Pratt,
Dixon. Pratt succeeds Donald Foerder, Annawan, who retired
from the board.
McGaughey farms 443 acres in Hancock
County, raising corn, soybeans and hay. He also has a cow/calf
herd. He has been a Farm Credit Services client for 22 years
and has served as a director since 1986.
Schrodt operates 1,350 acres in Knox
County, producing corn and soybeans. He also runs a trucking
operation and is a seed dealer. He has been a Farm Credit
Services client for 12 years and has served as a director
since 2000.
Stewart farms 2,200 acres of corn
and soybeans with family members in Kendall County. He has
been a Farm Credit Services client for 26 years and has served
on the board since 1998.
Pratt raises corn, soybeans and seed
corn on 3,955 acres with his sons in Lee County. He has been a
Farm Credit Services client for 21 years.
