OTTAWA, ILL. – Ryan Leifheit has joined 1st
Farm Credit Services as an insurance specialist in the
Ottawa office.
Leifheit comes to 1st Farm Credit
Services from LaSalle County FS where he served six years as
a certified crop advisor. "Coming from the retail side of
agriculture and witnessing firsthand the increasing cost of
production inputs, I understand how important crop insurance
is for our clients," said Leifheit. "I am impressed with the
tools in which 1st FCS has invested to help our
clients manage risk."
Leifheit holds a bachelor’s degree in
agribusiness economics from Southern Illinois University in
Carbondale. He, his wife and son live in Ottawa.
1st Farm Credit Services leads the industry in farm real
estate loans, and provides various services such as crop
insurance, loan and lease options, as well as farmland
appraisals. The cooperative serves 42 counties in the
northern half of Illinois through its 20 local offices.
