Normal, Ill. – September 12, 2007 – The American Cancer
Society West Central Region has received a donation of
$3,300 from the employees of 1st Farm Credit Services. Gary
Ash, President and CEO of 1st Farm Credit Services presented
a check to Suzanne Diederich, Income Development Manager for
the American Cancer Society.
The money was raised by 1st Farm Credit Services employees
who paid to dunk company administrative staff in a dunk tank
at a recent all employee picnic. CEO Ash commented that
employees chose to donate the money that was raised to the
American Cancer Society because there were several employees
and employee family members that have been affected by
various kinds of cancer.
The American Cancer Society is dedicated to eliminating
cancer as a major health problem by saving lives,
diminishing suffering and preventing cancer through
research, education, advocacy and service. The Illinois
Division has more than 120,000 volunteers and staff fighting
